Knoll Tugendhat Chair
Revered furniture designer and Bauhaus influencer Mies van der Rohe will always be known first for his Barcelona Chair. But it wasn’t the only chair he designed. His Tugendhat Chair, named after the villa it was originally commissioned for in 1928, was last produced in 1948. Knoll has now revived the model in a form assembled in the U.S.A. from an Italian-built frame and cushions made in America. Both armchair and armless versions are available with polished chrome or ultra-matte black epoxy frames. Upholstery options include a variety of fabrics and leather types.

Pro-Ject T1 Evo
The Pro-Ject T1 Evo boasts three big upgrades over its predecessor. First, it features an upgraded Ortofon OM10 MM phono cartridge instead of the T1’s Ortofon OM5E MM phono cartridge. (For reference, the OM10 MM on the Evo model goes for $75 on its own, which is $15 upgrade over the T1’s OM5E.) Second, the T1 Evo features a larger sub-platter — it’s the same size sub-platter as the ones in Pro-Ject’s higher-end Debut series — which should help with dampen vibrations, speed control and, ultimately, improve its sound. Finally, the T1 Evo features an electronic speed change, so you don’t have to remove the platter and physically adjust the belt every time you want to switch between 33 RPM and 45 RPM speeds. Instead, you press a side switch.

reMarkable Paper Pro
Alex Cranz at The Verge called this gadget “the hypercar of E-Ink note-taking devices” for good reason. The 11.8-inch tablet pushes e-ink tech to its limits to create the ultimate digital notebook. The most significant innovation here is a unique color e-ink display combined with some intelligent software tricks that allow the reMarkable Pro to faithfully render books, slide decks, PDFs, and other docs without the downside of a frustratingly slow refresh rate. Like other reMarkable tablets, the textured display replicates a paper-like feel when using a stylus, while a front-facing reading light makes the tablet usable in darker settings. The catch is that the Paper Pro costs as much as more capable devices like Apple’s new 11-inch iPad Air. The well-regarded keyboard accessory makes price an even more significant cause for pause, given it costs $229.
Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical 42mm
The quintessential field watch from Hamilton gives a subtle nod to military styling and can be worn doing chores or at the office.
PlayStation 5 Pro
The rumored and expected late-cycle update to the PS5 is finally out in the open. The new PS5 Pro is aimed at diehard gaming fans who obsess over frame rates. Sony considers the new system “the most visually compelling way to play games on PlayStation.” That’s all made possible thanks to a beefier GPU, which offers 67 more Compute Units than the current PS5, as well as 28% faster memory. Together, these spec bumps make rendering up to 45% faster, at least for games optimized for the new machine and featuring “PS5 Pro Enhanced” labels. Advanced ray tracing support and AI-powered upscaling will also help improve the look of older PS5 and other legacy titles. Strangely, the PS5 Pro doesn’t include a 4k Blu-ray drive like the original PS5, though including a 2TB hard drive and Wi-Fi 7 support are meaningful hardware perks.

Sonos Arc Ultra
The Sonos Arc Ultra is the company’s flagship Dolby Atmos soundbar. It looks quite similar to the older Arc, but packs more drivers, has a redesigned center channel, and takes advanced of a new woofer technology called “Sound Motion.” This helps the Arc Ultra deliver better midrange and more bass than the Arc, despite being similar in size.
Herman Miller Aeron Chair
The Aeron is the chair against which all other chairs are measured. Not even the worthy competition on this list can challenge its status as the most influential office chair of the modern era. Released in 1994, Aeron is the chair that bookended a shift in task seating design from a form-first to function-first industry. Its critical, commercial and cultural successes are many. It ushered out clean lines in favor of shapes contouring to the human body and was the first hugely successful mesh chair. It is among the most customizable designs ever conceived. It’s earned a permanent place in the Museum of Modern Art. It’s even 94 percent recyclable, a feature years ahead of its time. Though the Aeron chair is no longer the seating du jour, in style and function, its importance and power are unrivaled.

Dyson release its first mop this year. Even more surprising is that it doesn’t use suction at all, relying instead on battery powered “mechanical agitation” to scrub stains and pick up debris. One tank of water should cover 3,100 square feet.
NAD M10 V3 Streaming Amplifier
The third generation of NAD’s flagship M10 streaming amplifier shares the same gorgeous design, high-end streaming abilities and price as its “V2” predecessor. However, the new model features an upgraded DAC and supports Dirac Live room correction technology. Significantly, it adds a dedicated phono input (MM), making integrating a turntable easier.
Oris Pro Pilot X Calibre 400
Oris ProPilot X is one of the cleanest-looking watches to launch in the last few years. It’s made of titanium, which is super light to wear and highly durable. It’s available in a variety of striking dial colors, too. We particularly like the salmon pink dial version, which was well ahead of this year’s pink watch trend. This is a rare sports watch that a couple could share and equally love.

The original concept was made from automotive components, brass tubes and a wooden sphere. This new mass-produced incarnation features 36 LED light stems of three different lengths. The stems are plug-and-play, allowing the fixture to be shipped in smaller packaging. Matte black or polished aluminum finish options are available.

Vulcain Table Clock
One of the greatest examples of mid-century modern design left standing is the TWA Flight Center at New York’s JFK Airport designed by the legendary Eero Saarinen, the man behind the Womb Chair and Pedestal Table. The building renowned for its space-age themes and organic curves, with a central feature being its hanging, three-sided clock made by Swiss watch brand Vulcain. Now, Vulcain has issued a home version of the clock in table clock form. The retro desk clock is crafted from stainless steel and features three quartz-powered clock faces, with each capable of displaying a different time zone.
Leica Q3 43
This is in many ways a riff on the original Q3 launched in May 2023. It’s nearly identical outside the longer, aspherical APO-Summicron 43mm f/2 lens attached to the front, a grey leatherette coating and a number 43 engraved into the hotshot. It is also 15 percent more expensive than the original price point of the Q3. Nevertheless, the new focal length is a crucial change for photography fans pining for a premium camera with a field of view that does its best to mirror the viewport we naturally see through our eyes. Read the full review on DPReview.
Sterling Pacific 40L Cabin Travel Case (Silver)
This is the Mercedes G-Wagen of Aluminum luggage, and that’s not just because the products share a boxy, metallic look. Plenty of other aluminum options offer similar capabilities at more obtainable prices. But none of them pack quite the same mix of premium materials (including an all-metal design), attention to detail and exclusivity like Sterling Pacific’s take.
Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro
This gorgeous white-dialed dive watch from Panerai offers all of the distinctive aesthetics and tool watch capabilities that make Panerai well known. But at 44mm, it’s also sized right and much more manageable for a broader range of wrists than classic Panerai models. Versions are available with both a black or olive green rubber strap. We recommend grabbing both, given how much each strap can dramatically change the watch’s look.
UPPAbaby Vista V2 Stroller
UPPAbaby’s Vista V2 system is the Rolls Royce of stroller / bassinet systems. It’s pricey, but it does a ton and is built to last through raising multiple kids. This is the lowest price we’ve seen the system hit on Amazon.

KEF LS50 Meta Passive Bookshelf Speakers
The LS50 Meta are based around the company’s proprietary Uni-Q driver, which housed a 1-inch tweeter inside a 5.25-inch woofer resulting in excellent and accurate sound, but KEF refined them in a number of key ways. They integrated their new proprietary Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), which KEF claims have the ability to “absorb 99% of the unwanted sound radiating from the rear of the driver.” KEF also gave them a more refined cabinet, a new rear recessed port, and a new cone neck decoupler and motor system. Basically, if you thought KEF’s previous speakers sounded good — the LS50 Collection takes that sound to the next level.

And, except for the initial start-up, they can do it all remotely via the Weber Connect app. Hands-on cooks can also keep tabs on cooking temps with the grill’s built-in LCD controller. The Searwood’s internal RapidReact controller can also heat the grill to temperature in 15 minutes or less and helps the grill quickly regain temperature whenever the lid is opened. It continually monitors and adjusts the temperature while cooking, too.
